Size Matters

We are happy to announce that our new jumbo needles, size 19 and size 35, are available now. These new sizes are the biggest needles Brittany has ever made, and so far we've heard rave reviews. Great for new knitters and those quick holiday projects!

New Distributor in the UK and Europe - Artesano Fair Trade

In Fall 2005 we began working with Artesano, a fair trade UK-based company selling the best of Bolivia's hand made textiles, gifts and unusual homeware. Artesano is our main distributor for UK and Europe merchants.

A New Look for our Packaging!

You have probably noticed that we recently updated our packaging. We hope that our new packaging design makes it easier to display our products in stores, and store needles at home. As always, Brittany is dedicated to sustainable design, and our packaging is 100% recyclable. Please let us know what you think.

Make Sure You Get the Real Brittany

One reason knitters value our products is that we are a small familybusiness working hard to make superior knitting tools here at home, using sustainably harvested wood. It has been brought to our attention that crochet hooks from India are beingsold that are blatant copies of ours. Be sure when you buy your needles and hooks that they not only resemble Brittany,but are also stamped with the Brittany name. Thank you for valuing the care we put into creating each needle and hook.

Victorian Walnut Needles

We regret that we will no longer be making the walnut Victorian knitting needles. We have lost our wood supplier and are unable to replace them with a supplier who is up to our standards for wood quality. Since 2002 we have produced all birch crochet and knitting needles. Birch crochet hooks have the Victorian design end. Thanks to all of you who called and emailed your opinion on the switch. We really appreciate the support and your patience.

All stock of walnut needles and hooks for replacement is gone. If you have a broken walnut needle we will happily replace it with a pair of our Art Deco birch design needles.
